They are "pushing" the Jesus Seminar line of thought..! That has nothing to do with Scholarship..or Discovery..! Very, very true! (Discovery) I just shared this recently with some fellow believers. I found their website www.creationevidence.org. Just doing a brief look it seems interesting. Lots of facts. But they do have the Bible Code on there also. I don't know about that. We have already seen evidence that micro-evolution is at work. It is macro evolution that people here are aguing about (that is speciation). Find out just what it is and what scientists say it is. And remember, these guys who formulate evolutionary theory are just going on what they see and coming up with explanations for them. I have read alot of what people here would consider pro-evolution literature and I don't think most of them are trying to disuade me from my faith in any way, just presenting what they know based on what they see. So I suggest doing some research yourself and remember that most of them are not trying to challenge your faith (since science is nothing more than an attempt to explain worldly events using worldly knowledge). I heard his lecture was great.
