The shadow was not a character on the screen, but only on the radio. You could hear the dire music and his footsteps coming up behind the bad guy and, the errie voices. The shadow had a way of getting to the bad guy by getting to his conscience; he would make the bad guy have heart failure or something like that. There was no real action just dire music, footsteps, the voices. I've got to admit I've never heard od The Shadow nor have I ever heard a program on radio. Do you have a time machine or something? That is what they had before television programs. Granted, they had television when I was born, but I knew about old time radio shows from my parents. I have a collection of something like 60 episodes of "The Shadow" radio program, as well as many other old shows like "Amos N Andy," "Jack Benny," "Our MIss Brooks," "The Whistler," and really too many to name. If you are interested in knowing more about it, there is a station on the xm satellite radio that runs old time radio shows 24/7, sadly they don't have "Amos N Andy" as it is not p.c. One of the best shows they have is called "Suspense." That is a mystery program. As far as the Superman verses Batman controversy goes, Superman should have a clear advantage should they ever get into a fight, unless of course Batman has some kryptonite handy. One reason I think Batman must be more intelligent is he relies on his ability to think to survive. That doesn't mean Superman isn't as smart, but he doesn't need super intelligence to get by with the powers he has. Yes, I've heard of radio shows. I've just never HEARD one. That was before my time....and yours, Butero. I did know you can buy the old time shows on DVD or CD though. As for Superman and Batman getting into a dust up....Ant Man would win.
