Following Jesus involves sacrifice. The lyrics are pretty good, but I'm not getting why they used the word "waste."

She is meaning that she will die out to her own will in this life to do the will of the Father. Although I think the choice of the word "waste" was not a good choice to convey her meaning. But the song actually I think has good lyrics to it

In other words, her life was a waste without any guidance and now she has found what truly matters is with Jesus.

Like a book hook is used to hook you on the book. Got to admit it is pretty clever and peaks curiousity.

Guest DRS81
..what does Misty Edwards mean with this song title. What do you think she means? I think it means putting away fleshly desires and doing the will of God till she dies. This is a woman who fought cancer for six years and bounced back. She says that experience of almost dying is a gift from God, and I agree. I've been there three times myself.

Oh come on now Nebula your post comes across as an over reaction to an innocent comment. There is no accusation whatsoever in what I posted sheesh. I could say in your way of thinking that what you "think" in your post here toward me is a strong accusation against me. But in reality I know that is not true (at least I hope) it is just what you are thinking. I believe the words that I used were "I think perhaps" the song title "could have" been chosen for the sale of her music. Just for further clarification on my part I am in no way putting this musician down for using the song title that was chosen. It's pretty clever in light of the woman battling cancer in the natural and tying and linking that with the spiritual battle of dying out to self so that Christ could live through her. To me that is amazing and worthy of praise and the song has good lyrics as I said already in my first post. Anywho in the OP we were asked what we thought and I posted my thoughts only. I accused no one or judged no one.
