1. What does it mean to truly know God?

 

 

Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 7:23-24

2. What exactly is having a relationship with God?

 

 

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. Isaiah 43:10-11

3. What does "experience God" really mean?

 

 

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 2 Corinthians 4:6-7

I have three questions that I need an honest answer to. I think I have an idea, but it's like describing colors to a blind person. Unless you've seen it, you can't see it. Anyway, let me know what these answers mean to you if you feel like you have an understanding. Thank you with all sincerity.

1. What does it mean to truly know God?

2. What exactly is having a relationship with God?

3. What does "experience God" really mean?

Wow! I'm impressed. These are really important questions.  I hope you already read the posts above. I have one thing to add: To ask these questions, one must've felt, experienced  something. Stay aware of these feelings. You wrote that you already have some ideas, what I think is the best for you, after reading and doing some biblical researches ( which is essential) is that you let God take the initiative and lead you to really know Him, so you can love Him and worship Him. And eventually find the meaning of these answers by yourself  : )

Thanks for the answers. A lot of good points. I really appreciate the amount of time you all put into these answers. Thanks again.

But I need more personal and deeper answers from all of you that have already answered if I could please. Most of the answers I received were answers I have given in the past to others. I've been a Christian for 19 years, but I was only the kind that liked Jesus, not the kind trying to be like Jesus. I have studied the Bible in depth. Not an expert on it but I grasp a lot of what it says. Having said that, I believe the Bible is The word of God, and to be used as a tool. But I see the relationship with God as the main even.

So the more personal answer I am looking for is what is the real life, personal meaning to you?

PS this may be a hard question to answer and I apologize for that. Thank you for your responses
