Just peeking in again, who could have know that 205 posts could be here, for a question that could have been answered theoretically, with one word?

cough :noidea:

One can't be a temple of the Holy Spirit if they end up dead as a result of smoking.

Is smoking tobacco a sin?

I used to smoke once or atmost twice an year.

I'm not addicted to it.

Am I committing a sin

Would that be sin #11 or #12?

While on the subject, is GLUTTONY a sin?  I see more obese people waddling around the streets of America than smokers these days.

In the middle ages, gluttony was indeed a sin.  Nobody smoked yet because Capt. Columbus' intrepid ships hadn't sailed.

If you want to know if smoking is a sin, ask those who have fried their lungs and literally burned up money their family could have used for better purposes.

and that's just me, hollering from the choir loft...

the reason that this thread is still going is that the focus of the thread is on sin; not God.  seek God, and let Him decide what is sin and which sin to help you stop at any given time.

and if you are not without sin, drop your rocks and walk away - only the sinless can judge what is sin  :)
