Hi Parker 1,

Note that the Anti-Christ only has `authority to act for 42 months.`  (Rev. 13: 5) Thus he wont be giving Israel the `permission for a Temple to be built,` as you said at the beginning of the tribulation.

Ezekiel makes it clear that the Temple will be built. This has nothing to do with the anti-Christ. Although he may well be in Israel, he won't assume full power (or show his power) until after the Temple has been built.

Hey Oak,

Is it possible for the AC to be involved in the covenant that ushers in peace to the Middle East (begins Daniels 70th week), but is not REVEALED until the abomination of desolation, 3.5 years later?

I think so. The AC could be sitting in Israel just watching, even now. There is every reason to be believe that he may be involved in the peace process (which ultimately turns out to be a false one anyway). He could be in power or on the sidelines. Either way he has to let the Temple be rebuilt otherwise he can't usurp it, so until the Temple is actually built, he has to go along with prophecy.

He may not reveal his true identity until he is in a position to act.

If you look at history, nearly every other antichrist figure has never shown their true intentions until they were ready to. They don't get into power by striking  fear into everybody they meet, they get into power by promising peace, security, economic success, national glory, or fresh opportunity (take your pick).

Hi Oakwood,

I agree with a lot of what you said however why is the Anti-Christ `sitting in Israel,` as you say, when his nationality is `Assyrian,` & he is called the King of the North & the King of Babylon?

I'm just saying that he could be. At some point he has to enter Israel.

I doubt very much that he is in Israel as we speak.

He has to become a political leader at some point. The options are almost endless. Will he be elected to power or does he achieve power by other means?

Hi Oakwood,

Thanks for the explanation. That is clearer. I believe he enters Israel when his capital is destroyed towards the end of the great tribulation.

You could be right. There are many possibilities.

KJV says he will be given power to 'continue' for 42 months. We know the 42 months (1260 days) is the latter half of Daniel's "one week" when the abomination is setup in the holy place, involving false worship. But can we rightly infer he has no authority or influence until then? Dan.9 & 11 shows differently.

Hi Salty,

The `authority` of Rev. 13: 5 is referring to the time that the 10 kings/ 10 crowned horns (Political power) oversee the already forming Global Government.

`And the 10 horns which you saw are 10 kings (Political), which have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast (Anti-Christ) for one hour. These have one purpose & they give their power & authority to the beast.`  (Rev. 17: 12 & 13)

Prior to that time the crafty, despicable person will arise regionally, nationally, internationally & then Globally.
