Guest LadyC
why are they backing down? same reason the moral fiber of our country is failing. fear and political correctness. people whining about their rights being violated. people like to make a big squawk while playing the victim, and for some reason, people tend to stick up for what they see as the underdog. They sign a warrant for her arrest under those laws and guidelines related to public health and have her quarantined against her will. She's a public health threat. Guest Teditis
(IMHO) This is what happens when a Government is in shambles and no longer is effective. There is no harmonious consensus to work towards the welfare of the people. Laws are written in a very dodgy fashion that at first glance seem merely in-artfully put together but when compared to others of the same caliber are seen to be very uniform and have purpose. That being to forego beneficence but rather promote an atmosphere of chaotic rule. Both sides, liberal and conservative revel in the ingenious ways they have structured the system to be and remain broken so that they can consistently point fingers and also utilize the systemic brokenness to their own personal gain. There's always been an issue with epidemics being a threat... this nation has been through them in the past even... and yet here we sit in 2014, with no constructive, substantial policies and procedures on how to address the issue. Everyone points fingers and talks about how folks are doing things wrong or how they have a great idea on what to do. Meanwhile the broken system remains broken and in place. Put another band aid on your cut toes while we walk across a field of broken glass. And that where this nation is at these days... and has been for the last few decades. It's beyond repair. The "fat lady' is already on stage and about to sing. Quite frankly I find it rather amusing and entertaining in a macabre sort of fashion. A slow motion train wreck. Christians need to separate from this madness and prepare for lending charitable aid and the gospel to people living in a fallen society... not participate in bandaging the walking wounded. We're just Ambassadors passing through not members of some political organization. (but again, that JMHO)
