Ok women you have let your hair grow for years and years. You love your long beautiful hair.Would you cut it all off very short and donate it to women who have cancer?

Sure. I've done it once before and I wouldn't mind doing it again next time I feel like having short hair.

Well do not donate to locks of love. While you donate your hair the companies charge the recipients for the wigs. They are not cheap. I worked in the hair business for over 30 yrs. Do your research on the organization you are donating to. They are not always what they are cracked up to be. Plus you have to have at least 7 inches of virgin hair. That means no chemicals at all in the past 3 yrs. Or so. But it would be a great gift if it was done the right way.

Not entirely true. They do charge, on a sliding scale, based on the income of the family, but usually at a small fraction of what these wigs cost to make, and thats mainly only to keep people from taking advantage of them (people scam charities all the time, and with how much money goes into making these wigs its a big target). Its not excessive. and any extra wigs-that they cant give to kids for whatever reason, are sold to salons and the like full price to help off set the cost of manufacturing. The president of locks for love only makes $48,000 a year, again, not excessive, in fact its less money then I make.

If you ever come up with anything like this for us naturally balding men; someone please let me know.   When I was younger I used to kid myself into believing my hair wasn't balding, just retreating, but no way to deny it now, it is just all gone on the forehead.
