I'm not sure what I should do with my 401k now, I dont have much in there but sure wouldn't like to take a bad hit like many did some time back. Its with Fidelity...

I'm not sure there is any right answer here hall.  I mean, a person can take their money out now, pay the penalties and taxes which will basically amount to about half.  But then what?  If the market collapses what will that money be worth?

I guess my main point in posting this is to make people aware of what is around the corner.  Build your ark before the rain comes, pay off your debts, and be prepared.

The 401k isnt allowed to be touched until resigned or at retirement age for the company I work for, but the investments in where the money goes can be switched around between stocks and such, or I could just stop putting into it. Guess I'll have to pray about it... Thank you.

If you can invest in commodities that is probably the safest avenue.  Stay away from CDO's or any mortgage backed securities.

Have heard it said as long as the currency traders are making money trading the metals will be artificially low,

giving the righteous the opportunity to buy at what will soon be a bargain price.
