My understanding is that Jesus received from john the Baptist, he then baptized the 12 and they operated under His authority, at the Crucifixion they no longer operated under His authority fulfilling the Isaiah prophecy, " I will strike the Shepard and the sheep will scatter". After Pentecost they then had the strength and power that they would go to they're death before they would deny Him.

So very not true, the experiencing of G-d is what the Bible explains to us, Jesus told us when Holy Spirit comes He will guide, speak and show, these are all experiences. To believe we cannot trust the experiences He gives leads to what He also said of these days, that many would have an outward form of godliness, denying the power thereof.

Of course we all know those verses. Our first place is to be focused on Christ. Prudent handling of the resources He has placed in our possession to increase for His kingdom is why i began the thread. Worldly possessions are not to be our first focus. Remember the parable of the servants.

Thank you kindly. It seems many want to understand how G-d works in their lives on their own terms, and not on His. When they do that , they are not believing in Him so much as they are believing in themselves. John 16-13 , Jesus tells how when the Holy Spirit comes He will speak, guide and show us G-d's ways, only one is a voice. We must learn to be aware and follow all of His ways of leading us. blessings
