My understanding is that Jesus received from john the Baptist, he then baptized the 12 and they operated under His authority, at the Crucifixion they no longer operated under His authority fulfilling the Isaiah prophecy, " I will strike the Shepard and the sheep will scatter". After Pentecost they then had the strength and power that they would go to they're death before they would deny Him.

Thank you kindly. It seems many want to understand how G-d works in their lives on their own terms, and not on His. When they do that , they are not believing in Him so much as they are believing in themselves. John 16-13 , Jesus tells how when the Holy Spirit comes He will speak, guide and show us G-d's ways, only one is a voice. We must learn to be aware and follow all of His ways of leading us. blessings

prophecy is best understood after the event, our bible shows us prophecies concerning the Messiah, born in Bethlehem, "out of Egypt will I call my Son", and, from Matthew, " He shall be called a nazarene", these seemed incompatible until afterwards. Teachers have taught all three raptures with scriptural backing for each , perhaps there is not one alone. Remember, His love is so great He gave His only begotten Son, who could have called down legions of Angels at anytime to save Himself rather than die for us. Our love and understanding of Him will always be "as looking through a glass darkly" until we receive His full complete knowledge in that day and in His timing. It is sufficient that we keep focused on Him and be prepared to do His good will until then and beyond. what if there are three raptures? A pre, a mid, and a post? What if the love of G-d is so great only the most hard hearted will be lost? We know from scripture there will be "saints of the tribulation". blessings

I have practiced this gift for 40+ years, just as other gifts, such as healing quite often you have to do something, you need to exercise the gift, I believe if I had not trusted the spirit to guide what was coning out, it wouldn't have happened, those with me prayed and received a word of knowledge that I had it, I just hadn't used it. Scripture tells use we need to trust in the Lord with ALL our heart, not half, not some of our heart. When we practice a gift we are given more, dreams, visions, words of knowledge, every gift Jesus manifested is available to every believer. We have not because we ask not, we ask and receive not because we ask in error. blessings

I always feel the Holy Spirit shower down on me as I pray in the language He gave me long ago, it is a confirmation and an encouragement that is is from Him. blessings
