KOFI THE COMIC

November 16, 2002 -- U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan is counseling "patience" with Saddam Hussein as weapons inspectors get set to resume their work in Iraq.

But how can anyone take Annan seriously? He's appeased the Iraqi dictator so often, one could be forgiven for wondering if Annan is on Saddam's payroll.

Annan worked consistently to weaken and neutralize U.N.-mandated weapons inspections, loosening the inspection regime in 1998 and agreeing to Saddam's demand that Americans and Britons and then all foreign government employees be excluded from it.

As former inspections chief Richard Butler wrote, Annan's United Nations became "a facilitator of Iraqi concealment." And it is thanks to Annan that the U.N. oil-for-food program became not just incompetent and corrupt, but blatantly favorable to Saddam.

Indeed, Annan seems to be far more concerned with keeping Saddam happy than with maintaining the dignity of the United Nations itself, whose resolutions Saddam has defied again and again.

Of course, he was equally solicitous of the sovereignty of murderous tyrants when he was chief of U.N. peacekeeping. It was on his watch and thanks to orders from his office that U.N. peacekeepers stood by as the Muslims of Srebrenica were murdered. And it was on his order in 1994 that U.N. forces in Rwanda ignored information that a vast massacre was about to take place.

For too long, the sociable Annan has been lionized in this country- partly because he isn't as openly anti-American or anti-Western as his predecessor, Boutros Boutros-Gali. But as for his call for "patience," well . . . everyone can use a good laugh these days.

Kofi Annan is a vicious racist and the U.N. is ran by a bunch of despots from countries dominated by dictators where the U.N. Representative can't even vote or voice his opinion when he returns home. Yet they sit up there and tell democratic countries what to do. Screw'em.

The United States needs to get out of the U.N. and get the U.N out of New York. Send them to Saudi Arabia or Eygpt and it will save postage for Kofi to get his instructions.

I have supported the move to "Get US out of the UN", but one has to wonder the motives of those running the show in the US.  How many times have we been voted against by those in the UN?  And yet we continue to pay the lion's share of expenses generated by this mob on our soil!!  You know the old adage, "Crap on me once, shame of you! Crap on me twice, shame on ME!"

As with everything else, though, look for the New World Order to come into power very soon.  The Word (Jesus) said, "When they say, 'Peace and safety, sudden destruction'. " Are you watching??
