There was a question about what requirements were clearly applicable to gentiles - in Acts 15. Of course the usual - like keep the Commandments of God etc - but then we have this...

Acts 15

19 Therefore it is my judgment that we do not trouble those who are turning to God from among the Gentiles, 20 but that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. 21 For Moses from ancient generations has in every city those who preach him, since he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

Lev 17

14 “For as for the life of all flesh, its blood is identified with its life. Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, ‘You are not to eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.’

Lev 19:18 "Love your neighbor as yourself"

Deut 6:5 "Love God with all your heart"

Ive seen Todd White eat a steak then heal someone.

You guys don't get it. Its about Love and Jesus. Works don't make anyone righteous because all have sinned.

Legalists never get it.

Its ridiculous considering how much Paul already delt with legalists many times. They want to establish the law so they can boast. That's all it is. They don't even keep the law themself. It condemns them as sinners and they still make there boast of it.

Does not eating diseased beef so as to protect the health of my body - "make me any more righteous before God?'

None of us, in our right minds, eat diseased beef, so that is kind of a non-starter.

If they truly seen what righteousness looked like under the law they would abandon all their efforts at self-righteousness and cling to Christ's righteousness instead of zeroing in on dietary laws...majoring on the minors and minoring on the majors.

Amen brother but we have to remember not to be tempted ourself.

You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.

Galatians 5:4

Quote anyone who posted , quote their post,  who is trying at all to be justified by the law .

Also,  in the country, city, country you live in ,  do you obey the law (of the gov/authorities) ?   If so, why ?

See ?  It is not that hard to understand then why not to eat diseased pork, ever. (it's a good start anyway, perhaps)

Human pride cannot accept that salvation is 100% free to us.  Pride wants to earn salvation.

I see. Is this an admission it's ok to eat pork as long as the pig was not strangled?

It is the statement that you are still not supposed to take God's name in vain - even though it is not stated in Acts 15. But what is stated in Acts 15 has to do with the Lev 17 rule about not eating meat with blood in it.

And far worse than eating beef steak with blood in it - is the Lev 11 clean/unclean rule about not eating diseased beef to start with. Most health professionals will admit to the same thing.
