What will come will come, I will not live my life in fear of the next big "bad thing" that likely is not going to happen anyhow.

My grandparents were like you but they feared the "big red menace", waiting for WWIII, for the nukes to start flying. I will never forget the advice my grandpa gave me as I graduated high school.

He told me to live my life as if I were going to live to be 100, plan for that future he told me.  Don't be afraid of the monster around the corner, it is just someone else's fear and you don't need to join that group. One of his biggest regrets was the "living" he lost waiting for the bomb to drop.

That is how I live my life, if things change I will deal with them when it happens.  I have a good skill for bartering with should the zombie apocalypse happen.

Do you have insurance?

Some people are too immersed in the trivialities of day to day living that they don't see or care what is happening on the world stage.

and that's not by accident....

Very true, but there is still time for you to turn it around and become better informed.

Being under informed has never been something I have been accused of.  The Trumps Troopers on here tell me I know too much about him, for example.

That is why the ignorant stay that way.

Do you consider yourself well informed?

It is my experience that many people that consider themselves so have a shocking lack of variety in their sources of information.

Much of it is legally mandated and other parts are part of a plan for the future.

I do not really see the connection between living in fear of a cataclysm and having insurance.

Same old , same old ...... Yes very thanks. Heard these same words & recognize the attitude, seen this all before and I know the outcome of this conversation.

Pretty sure this conversation started with you making a passive aggressive suggestion that I am not well informed.

If you can dish it out, you should be able to take it as well
