How to be a Peacemaker

Earthly peace is the image and fruit of the peace of Christ, the messianic 'Prince of Peace.'   By the blood of his Cross, in his own person he killed the hostility, he reconciled men with God and made his church, the body of christ, unity of the human race and of its union with God.  Christ IS OUR PEACE.   He has declared: Blessed are the peacemakers!

By this power of the Spirit, God's children can bear much fruit. He who has grafted us onto the true vine will make us bear the fruit of the Spirit  . . .  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.  We live by the Spirit; the more we renounce/deny ourselves, the more we walk by the Spirit.  Through the Holy Spirit we are restored to paradise, led back to the Kingdom of heaven, and adopted as children, given confidence to call God 'Father' and to share in Christ's grace, called children of light and given a share in eternal glory.  The fruits of charity (love) are joy, peace, and mercy; charity demands beneficence and fraternal correction; it is benevolence; it fosters reciprocity and remains disinterested and generous; it is friendship and communion: Love is itself the fulfillment of all that we do. There is the goal; that is why we run: we run toward it, and once we reach it, in it we shall find rest.  Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called SONS OF GOD!   :inlove:

All the "unpeacefulness" in the world is engineered by satan himself.  I do not believe God meant that we should attempt to make "peace" with satan, who is determined in his ways.

Furthermore, "peace" is not to be obtained thru compromising the gospel. We are called by God to first present the truth, and that in itself seems to cause "unpeacefulness".

2 Tim 3 lists sinners, and admonishes us "from such, turn away".  It doesnt say hang in there with them and be a "peacemaker" with THEM.

I think you would have to read the entire chapter and surrounding verses, to get a clear picture of just what peacemaking God is talking about.

Personally, I believe we are in a Spiritual War, and its hot and heavy now, because satan knows his time is getting very short.  And satan is in no way interested in participating in any peacemaking.
