I find it interesting that she did not concede in person or publically this AM. Instead she sent her supporters home through her representative then called Trump a little while later. Did this surprise you?

God bless,
GE

I watched it live. She sent podesta to give a rah rah speech while it was still "up in the air". Then later called to concede. While I think it wasnt the best thing she could have done, I wouldnt be surprised if it was because she was exhausted or showing signs of the same health problems that concerned folks earlier this year.

Others who would leave.

Dont let the door hit you on the way out.

Every election, no matter who wins, there are these threats with no follow through.

Seems only fair, with every election there are 100's of promises made by the candidates with no follow through

I wasn't basing my opinion on the polls, pretty much ignoring them. It was more of the fact that both candidates seemed pretty well hated all around lol

We were given the impression (by the media) that Trump was roundly hated. And that was true for the Establishment. But the turnouts at the rallies (the real Americans) were contradicting that conventional wisdom.

The only thing that surprised me was how much ahead trump was I was expecting a much closer race.

By electoral college, yes. But if you looked at the individual states, the actual votes were pretty close in several of them.

That was my first thought - health issues.

If someone has a better suggestion, I'm all ears.

It is hard for me to buy into the whole anti-establishment mantra when the GOP congressional members seeking reelection won at a greater than 90% rate.

Most likely because there wasn't a Conservative anti-establishment alternative.

Voters may have assumed (and rightly so) that it will no longer be business as usual on Capitol Hill. Therefore GOP congressional members are really riding on the coattails of Trump, and will adjust accordingly. They did adjust to Obama instead of opposing him.
