Israel and Jericho

I heard on the news that Israel handed Jericho over to the Palestenians. Can someone tell me what this means (biblically, I mean)?

I'm sorry I'm so dumb, but I really don't understand too much about biblical prophecy and stuff. Would you mind explaining just a little bit further? What verses are those you listed, and what does all that mean?

Don't feel so bad. There are a lot of us "dumb" people here. I know what God is showing me and that is that a judgment of his is coming soon and that people need to get their hearts right with God. Perhaps the judgment will be directed towards Israel because of this, but I also believe it will be directed toward the USA, but then a lot of "Israel" lives in the USA. Well, it would be nice for someone who knows these things to explain what this means in terms us "dumb" people can understand.

Its talking about when you make a deal with Evil, you are putting yourself at risk because Evil can't ever be honest so it can backfire, and when it does it will cause great pain a distrerbance, and The deal you make with Evil will never stand, Evil can never act Good.

Israel is making a deal with an enemy who has never kept a single agreement. They are giving away their defenses to a people who only promise to kill them all someday.

It is a covenant with death.

Frankly, I understand why they would do this (politically) but the results are the same. They have only postponed a war long enough for the enemy to regroup and re-arm.

And that will only lead to more misery instead of less.

Israel had already given Jericho to the Palestinians after Oslo, and then had to take it back due the very fact that the Palestinians will not keep a single promise they make. Israel may very well have to go back in after more terrorst attackes eminiate from that city.
