I've heard similar stories about Mount Hermon in Israel:

Mount Hermon is where the watchers came down.

True, that's where I got that from.

I think it is actually in Lebanon on the border with Syria at the north end of the Golan Heights.

This doesn't mention "The Book of Enoch", but it does mention Angels mating with Human Women :

• Titus Flavius Josephus -  The Antiquities of the Jews - Book 1, Chapter 3,

(37-100 A.D.)

Now this posterity of Seth continued to esteem God as the Lord of the universe, and to have an entire regard to virtue, for seven generations; but in process of time they were perverted, and forsook the practices of their forefathers, and did neither pay those honors to God which were appointed to them, nor had they any concern to do justice towards men.  But for what degree of zeal they had formerly shown for virtue, they now showed by their actions a double degree of wickedness; whereby they made God to be their enemy, for Many Angels Of God Accompanied With Women And Begat Sons that proved unjust, and despisers of all that was good, on account of the confidence they had in their own strength; for the tradition is, that these men did what resembled the acts of those whom the Grecians Called Giants.  But Noah was very uneasy at what they did; and, being displeased at their conduct, persuaded them to change their dispositions and their acts for the better; but, seeing that they did not yield to him, but were slaves to their wicked pleasures, he was afraid they would kill him, together with his wife and children, and those they had married; so he departed out of that land.

Now there was a day when The Sons Of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.
• Job 1:6

Again there was a day when The Sons Of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.
• Job 2:1

When the morning stars sang together,
And All The Sons Of God shouted for joy?
• Job 38:7

Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that The Sons Of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
• Genesis 6:1-2

Other New Testament authors, not just Jude, quoted 1 Enoch. Even Jesus had occasion to quote from Enoch on a few occasions.  These NT quotes could be passed off as merely expressing truths presented in 1 Enoch, except for the fact that all of the quotes are word-for-word. They, including Jesus, specifically used the same words as written in Enoch’s writings.  If the NT is to be considered entirely inspired by God, wouldn’t writings that were so often quoted verbatim also be considered inspired?  Even some of Jesus quotes from OT were less accurate than the quotes from Enoch.

On another note... only the first 36(?) chapters of 1st Enoch are considered valid... any so-called writings of Enoch after that are known as false writings.  Often people lump the valid in with the false to avoid confusion.

When the Aramaic version of The Book of Enoch that John Strugnell was shown is revealed to the world it's really going to shake things up.

None of what is considered today "The Book of Enoch" is valid as Scripture. If it had been, it would have been a book in the Bible.

God doesn't play games.

The only people I have found that are interested in the book of Enoch are the ones trying to prove the existence of aliens/extraterrestrials and spaceships and such.

Exactly, Shiloh. But last I checked, ET's "phone home" didn't happen in the Bible! :P

I believe the Bible says that the ET's are kicked out of the heavens and thrown down here amongst us.....

Don't be confused when that happens...     ET's that we interface with today are fallen angels that a few of you don't seem to think exist in todays world....

As for the book of Enoch, it was not my decision when God decided to make that book available to us...    It was common knowledge in the days of Jesus on earth and if the temple people had accepted it as canon, they probably would have not missed the fact that Jesus was the Messiah......   and the gentiles might not have been added to Gods people and we'd all be in trouble for they would not have crucified Jesus....

Oh well, it will all work out in the end.
