Ecumenism: "Why Can't We Be Friends?"

The parts of the body that seem to be weaker are the ones we can’t do without. 23 The parts that we think are less important we treat with special honor. The private parts aren’t shown. But they are treated with special care. 24 The parts that can be shown don’t need special care. But God has put together all the parts of the body. And he has given more honor to the parts that didn’t have any. 25 In that way, the parts of the body will not take sides. All of them will take care of one another. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is honored, every part shares in its joy.

27 You are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). 

Paul talks about that we are all one body in Christ, but each part has distinct functions that make up the body, an eye, a foot and etc. it is possible to maintain the individual part (denominations) and be one body at the same time. 

It is neither Emerson’s “self reliance” nor Marx’s “collectivism without individuality.” 

It is the Church acting like the Trinity, One in Three Persons: One body of Christ in many denominations.

No fiedi don't do this ,  its a scam  .    We cant do this . Why do you really think their is such a big move to unite the faiths as of late .    ITS AN AGENDA .

please have nothing to do with it , rather expose it .     We cant find common ground at the expense of sound biblical doctrine at any cost .

THIS is truly a move that has long been planned out and they know all the right things to say to make it seem right .      FIEDI ,   you came after me early on

with this agenda , but tried to make friends first so it would be easier to get it spread .   OH fiedi ,  my heart is truly broke .     it  truly is .

I disagree. You have to live with disagreement in this world. Besides how I see ecumenism is always misunderstood.

Rome would not head it. The most ecumenical church is Eastern Orthodox. However, I am not proposing Rome head the unity. I am proposing Jesus Christ does (John 17:20-33).

Ya aint doing your homework .     ROME will head this .     We cant gather with image worshippers and those that bow down to carved images .  let alone half the other stuff

some of these teach and not just in Rome .    Now Kenny is huge on this ,  rick warren is .   you really should investigate this more .    You would be amazed

at how many churches , and why also even other religions are being brought into the GREAT BROAD ROAD that goes under the name ecumincalism.

If you spent just a wee bit researching ,    you will stumble backwards when you see HOW huge its getting and try and pay attention to

some of their phrases too,  THEN you will KNOW WHO is behind it all   .  a hint ,  I don't see Kenneth , todd white ,  rick warren and others

saying its all about being a christain .    watch closely , you will see they praise the POPE and say things like hey we all catholics .  ITS PROPOGANDA

You aint seeing it for what it is .     JESUS wont be the HEAD of this unity ,    HE wants nothing to do with it and its world peace and unity .  

The falseset of the false are the ones BEHIND THIS MOVE .     SHOULD that alone not send out warning signals .      We being duped .   we being duped real bad .

When I say WE , rest assured By grace I AM NOT ,   but its becauase I love the people so , and want them to have no part of this .

Thank you Frienduff. This is really what I was leading up to. Ecumenism is a blind mans trap. Its all bout the papacy being the head of the  world church unity with the pope as the head of it. This is why I asked who would head this up? The world church will be interfaith. This is to say that all faiths are OK we all can be friends. Im OK your OK.

Please refrain from making claims about me like: “you cannot claim someone has done their homework or not.”Especially when you disagree with me on this. Make your case, but please be polite as the opening thread post states: 

 

I do not believe people are being duped. Ecumenism is why Catholics are reading the Bible and Protestants are learning how to be gentler with those whom they disagree; being able to articulate their case without resorting to calling people Papists, and other derogatory words. 

As Martin Luther said we need to be patient with those who are slowly coming around; Rome is ripe at this moment to embrace Solae Scriptura with us in the way of scandal and a giant schism that is taking place. I for one will not stand in the way of our Roman brothers crossing the bridge and joining us.
