Another words people have their own opinion and they will not change that. Even if you have posted scripture to validate your point.

I once beleived naively  that when  I provide someone with scripture they'd automatically submit to its authority  and  turn from what wrong they beleive. Silly me. I learned thevfolly of my ways in a convo with a J witness.

 When i pointed all of the fallacies of their doctrine - Jesus' deity  ,hell being real etc. She just claimed that those are just metaphors  and not to be taken literally . Even when I showed her stories and verses directly contradicting her doctrine
