This warning now includes whole heads and hearts of romaine lettuce, in addition to chopped romaine and salads and salad mixes containing romaine. Do not buy or eat romaine lettuce at a grocery store or restaurant unless you can confirm it is not from the Yuma, Arizona, growing region. She got infected with e coli. Last I heard (3 or so days ago), she had multiple surgeries and her kidneys shut down (organ failure). She is dying. Because of e coli infection. Her mom went public so that folks are made aware of how serious this is.
