Just that the church has been more western minded for the majority of the last 2000 years and forgotten the roots of the faith. So, it is not really the fault of the individual believer. We can thank the growing number of Hebrew people who are turning to Yeshua in these latter days for opening this sort of stuff up to the rest of us. Even the examples buried within non-believing Jewish traditions give astounding references to Yeshua the Messiah. The matzah and Afikomen of the passover meal for instance is a a visual presentation of the death, burial, and resurrection of the Messiah. Many Jewish people do not know why the example of the afikomen is in the passover meal or who made it part of the tradition. But when you see it first hand, wow, it really brings out a visual story of Messiah's death, burial, and resurrection.
