We stopped being friends.  Not everyone is pleased when you get saved.  I have a much bigger family now and I have far better friends.

I had unsaved friends.  They knew I didn't do things that they did and seem to be okay with that. They invite me to their parties but understood if I didn't want to come if there was a lot of drinking going on. But that is just me. I can see if you had friends who didn't respect what you believe and they tired to get you to do things you shouldn't do. Hard to hang out with your drug friends when you no longer do drugs.

My unsaved friends all never reciprocated my attention to them. It's good that I let those people go because no matter how much I cared about them, without Christ, we didn't have common ground.

The thing Is the instant I was saved ,   I lost all desire to do those old things .     The desire became TO WITNESS .   that alone caused them to flee my presence .

an example .   an ol buddy who had not seen me in a long time , wanted to hang out and go out drinking and catch up .

When explained I no longer do that ,  but if he wants to come over and we can talk just call.     HE NEVER CALLED .

This is what I mean ,  about it will happen if we simply walk n the LIGHT as HE is in the LIGHT .  they will either hear and repent , or they will flee you  ,  as though you have the plague .

And when men shall separate you from their company due to his name sake .  REJOICE ,  OH REJOICE .

even though I felt sad for them .    I GOT MY JOY ,  ITS THE LORD and HIS SALVATOIN .  I suggest we all follow HIS pattern in all things and the pattern

the apostels taught .       Cause way too many are teaching some bonged out stuff .

I thought this might make for an interesting post. I hear this phrase a lot. Love the sinner hate the sin. But do we really do that? Would you go out to lunch with someone who's lifestyle you didn't agree with?  Would you invite your Muslim neighbor over for a cake and coffee. Or in my case it would tea cause I don't drink coffee.  Sometimes I think we as Christians have an "us and them" way of looking at the world. Like somehow we are better then they are. We get all offended and we just don't like certain kinds of people. I visit the political forums on this site and I have seen what many of us think about Liberals. I myself don't think being a Liberal is a sin but clearly some of you do. So if you think being a Liberal is a sin, would you befriend a Liberal?  Invite them over for a cook out? So what do you all think? Do you really love sinners?

Interesting topic.

First I want to say I know what scripture says about loving your neighbor / enemy, don't return evil with evil but with good, etc. I fail miserably in that regard on a human and patriotic level to be honest.

I don't have any liberal friends and do not associate with them if they're liberal and/or Democrat. There's no need to explain how liberalism and their ideology is destroying this once great nation, as it is self evident.  I didn't willingly subject myself to the real possibility of giving my life or limb for a world liberals are building. It begs the question I believe has been discussed on this forum before; can a true believing Christian be a liberal?

Why would I want to associate myself with someone whom celebrates, promotes and encourages; a humanist lifestyle, socialism, and moral relativism or debate them? Unless it was to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

So your question: But do we really do that? My personal reply is; to my near future detriment and shame, No, I don't. I'm not going to be passive, play nice and coddle those who are turning my country into a degenerate third world nation for my descendants. Make no mistake, it is a fight.

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

It's all well. I asked and you answered your true answer. I will not debate or argue with it.
