Though I am not complaining, this is a beautiful time of year. As I have been reading (my Bible) recently, I have been focusing on names given to people or places. I love how the names are connected with something significant, and in some cases, names are changed. I would love to know what names and meanings you have been reading through. It may be fun to see what people share. God bless.

Moses and also Ichabod as a given name, and a lot of military rank used more often than a given name, Lieutenant, Sargent, and so on. Those names are causing me to go back into my Bible with the idea of paying higher attention to their meanings and the historical references that brought those names about. Can't say that I have spent a lot of time on the name Ichabod before, but it sure meant something serious to a family ancestor. Israel's glory is lost ??? Was that a concern to my New England and Canadian ancestors? Was there great trial and despair within the family at the time? Interesting, ay! Marilyn.
