About a year ago I found I was attracted to women and have had a short relationship with one girl. I want to know if I can be bi-sexual if I'm a Christian. I have been a Christian since I was 7 and I'm not about to change that. I just don't know if it's right because it's not really something I can change. I know all the facts and it's inbuilt to whether you'll be gay or not at 6 weeks after conception so it's not really something you can change. I'm so confused cos some people say it's alright & some people say it's not. PLEASE HELP!!!

I would say that you need to follow your heart. Believe in the LORD and be the best christian you can. Some will quote scriptures from the bible that state that it is wrong, but if you love the person you are with, that is the LORD.

The LORD will understand. Do not let anyone put you down for what you know in your heart to be true.

Bless you for being so brave.

First of all, it is sin that is inbuilt, not homosexuality. You always have a choice of whether you want to act out upon a certain sinful attraction, whether that's stealing, going out and getting drunk, or an unnatural attraction to a member of the same sex. Never believe that you are "born gay." That is an absolute lie. You are born with sin. And as long as you recognize that you have simply acted out according to your inborn nature, then there is yet hope.

I fully disagree. I know several homosexual individuals, all upstanding people that live life to the fullest. I do not believe that it is a "choice" that is made.

Some would argue that belief in the lord is a choice that we are born with.

Follow your heart, and the LORD.

Because someone is "upstanding," does that mean that they are not sinful?

Yeah, you may have chosen your words alittle better instead of calling someone a liar, MHO. It is true though, bi-sexuality and homosexuality IS A SIN and it is in the BIBLE!!!!!

Good job WSB

We are all born with a sin nature. Homosexuality is just one expression of that nature. Just because we are born with a condition does not justify a behavior. There is a chromosomal issue in some males that makes them predisposed to violent behavior. we would not excuse that because it is something they are born with

Dear Felinefan,

It is not a fact that homo or bisexuality is "built in." That is a lie that someone has told you. There are plenty of lies around on this earth. If we listen to them, then that becomes our fault and we are to some degree responsible, even though the perpetrator of such a lie is more guilty. The fact of the matter is that you CAN learn to discren between truth and falsity. The way to do it is to read God's Holy Word and try to implement it into your life. When you do that, then life becomes a very exciting adventure. You then learn how to put down all those thougts that may plague you.

I may be attacked with thoughts about stealing something. If I entertain those thoughts, eventually I will probably act on those thoughts. However, if I realize that it's wrong to steal, then I can put down those thoughts and become a better person for it. Eventually I will be less and less plagued by that. One way to put down such thoughts is to use Scripture. That's what Jesus did when the devil tempted Him. Find Scriptures that are the exact opposite of what you are tempted by (perhaps Romans 1 in your case). Think of those Scriptures whenever you feel weak. Get Scriptures into your heart and mind and the devil will flee from you.

I agree with Pastoreric.

Remember to search your Bible for answers, and to compare other's answers against scripture. Always always always be in prayer.

My guess is that somewhere in you you think that there IS something wrong with it, otherwise you wouldn't be asking people here about it...

Romans Chapter 1 is very clear on the issue of homosexuality and bisexuality.

Remember that just because you have certain lusts, whether they be for a man or a woman, does not mean you need to or should give-in to them.

Also, think about your biology...to me, it's obvious in a man and a woman's physical makeup that a man is intended for a woman, not man for man or woman for woman. You wouldn't try to force puzzle pieces that don't fit together; that would mess up the whole puzzle.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
