For it was your love that carried us through to adulthood. You women are so very special in the eyes of God. Thank you Mothers for putting up with us when we became your husbands. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline; whoever learns from correction is wise. The lips of the wise give good advice; the heart of a fool has none to give. Whoever abandons the right path will be severely disciplined; whoever hates correction will die. Mockers hate to be corrected, so they stay away from the wise. A wise person is hungry for knowledge, while the fool feeds on trash. A bowl of vegetables with someone you love is better than steak with someone you hate. A hot-tempered person starts fights; a cool-tempered person stops them. The path of life leads upward for the wise; they leave the grave behind. The heart of the godly thinks carefully before speaking; the mouth of the wicked overflows with evil words. The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous. If you listen to constructive criticism, you will be at home among the wise. If you reject discipline, you only harm yourself; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding. Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor. Edited May 10, 2020 by Novus 1
