With the above two theme in mind : the Torah and the Messianic kingdom the book of Psalm is meant to be the language of prayer in songs for God's people as they seek to be faithful to the commands of the Torah AND as they wait and hope for the messianic king. God's wants his people to come into agreement with his heart to usher in the reign of this king who will rule all the earth from Zion.
