Hi, I had presumed Samsung products to be manufactured at South Korea. I have never purchased a Galaxy until now for my wife who is not a fan of my Apple products. She noticed the phone labeling claims it to be made at Vietnam. So I wonder, were they previously made at South Korea or perhaps at China and now, with the USA trade tarriffs having been increased, are being labeled as Vietnam produced. Really? I've got a Samsung Smart TV sitting in storage right now, just waiting for me when I get out of this horrible place. It's practically brand new. Wonder what I'll do if anything goes haywire with it? Sheesh! Probably just take it back to Best Buy? I just bought a Samsung sound bar Friday at Best Buy. Have no fear of having to turn it back in. Also I got a $150 plus sales tax refund of my purchase price of the galaxy phone, because their Black Friday price is that much lower than what I paid for it just days ago. They readily and easily honored their pricing policy.

I understand that Chinese companies are getting around USA tariff increases by repackaging at Vietnam. Just find it interesting to see a Vietnam label on a product I own, or rather that my wife owns. Don't know, except for the claim that they are not made at Vietnam but are labeled as such. I am not an advocate of higher tariffs on things I tend to buy, that is for sure. I just find it to be interesting how games get played.
