Matthew 7 v 1-5........

(I'd like you all to look it up yourself. It'll make good reading practice!! LOL ;);) )

So.....when we "expose" preachers, God warns us through His Word not to!!!

So........when people quote from other bits of the Bible, and say we should do that.....I think "Should we or shouldn't we? To me, "exposing" is "judgeing"....

Hmmmmm.....anyone?

:P

Yomo, you should find this helpful and interesting:

Judge not?

Here is the conclusion/summary from that article (for more lethargic readers such as myself :emot-highfive: )

All greek words* in the following extract are translated into modern english bible versions as the word "Judge/Judgement"

Judge not? What does the Bible say?

We never judge from our opinions.

We are commanded to *anakrino -- we always seek to discern: "Is this of God, or is it of the flesh,or of the devil?"

We are commanded to *diakrino -- to render a decision as to whether something is morally right or wrong.

We do not *krisis -- the Lord alone decides who goes to heaven and who goes to hell.

We are sometimes appointed to *krites -- but we are to remember that the Lord is the Judge of all, and we are to judge righteously.

We never, ever, *hupo-krites -- before we take a speck out of our brother's eye, we make sure we do not have the same speck in our own eye.

We always *kritikos -- we draw on the Word of God to discern between the things of the soul and the things of the spirit.

by James Jacob Prasch (www.moriel.org)

As you specifically mention "exposing" preachers, here's what the same article says about false prophets:

Judging Prophecy

And let two or three prophets speak, and let the others [diakrino] pass judgement (1 Corinthians 14:29). We are commanded to judge prophecy.

But the prophet who shall speak a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he shall speak in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.

And you may say in your heart, "How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?"

When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken.

The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him (Deuteronomy 18:20-22).

Jeremiah 14 and Jeremiah 28 says the same thing. Jesus warned that there would be many false prophets in the last days.

We do not stone them to death any more, but the sin is no less serious. They shall die if they do not repent.

We are not under the law, but under grace; but their "ministries" should be stoned. 1 Corinthians 14:29 does not say that we are entitled to diakrino prophets or prophecies, rather we ar commanded to judge prophets andprophecies.

On this basis, Rodney Howard Browne is a false prophet. On this basis, John Wimber was a false prophet. On this basis, Rick Joyner is a false prophet. And on this basis, Paul Cain is a false prophet.

Now, that is not my judgement. I cannot krino anybody. The things that God has said will krino. I have to anakrino. I have to discern. Is this of God or is this of man?

No, it is not for me to judge. I have to diakrino, render a decision on whether it is morally right or wrong, by biblical standards.

The founders of the Mormon cult and the Jehovah Witnesses were false prophets; they predicted things that failed to happen. The Roman Catholic nun, Lucia, from Fatima, in Portugal, is a false prophet; she predicted things that failed to happen. John Wimber and Paul Cain and Rick Joyner (as well as John Kilpatrick, Michael Brown and Gerald Coates) are false prophets; they predicted things that failed to happen.

Do I have the right to say that? No, not the right, but the responsibility to say it, the command from my God in heaven to say it. That is not my judgment; it is what God says about these people.

Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." If you fail to diakrino, you are failing to keep His commandments. If you fail to diakrino, you will let these same people go on giving people "words" from their own flesh or from Satan. People like that should be brought to account.

It is obvious you are a Strict Baptist, and a "Carismactic lambaster", for you gave me a link and a Live Preach to listen to, that completely lambasts the Carismactic church, even though the man on there says he is "Pentecostal"!!!!!

Your radar is a little off Yomo, if anything, I'm evangelical. And I dont consider anything to be "Lambastic" if its based in truth and wisdom :emot-highfive:

If you think the Charismatic church is represented entirely by four men [edit - SIX, my math is terrible today!], then I guess they really do have their claws into you. Prasch also, rather generously, forgot to mention Benny Hinn.

Define "Pentecostal", I thought it was more than just the signs and wonders movement.

All I know is, I got a link to a guy whose first proper speeches were smashing down the Charasmactic Church, and bashing poor people over the head with the Bible. :emot-highfive::emot-highfive::emot-highfive:

I thought that was a bit over the top, and I turned it off.

I don't mind my beliefs being smashed at, but to a certain point.

A message like that.....sorry...ummm.......no....

But I'm not rude...I listened to a lot!!! ;):):P:24::):emot-highfive::emot-highfive::emot-highfive::emot-highfive::emot-highfive::emot-highfive::emot-highfive::emot-highfive::emot-highfive::emot-highfive::emot-highfive::emot-highfive:

Matthew 7:1 is telling us not to krino, judge off apperance. This is why Jesus states the measure we judge by we ourselves will be judged by. It mentions nothing of fale prophets or exposing their teachings. if this was wrong, then we need to disregard the entire Gospel of John as well as 1 John because the intent behind John writing those was to discount Cerinthus' teachings.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
