Fall day, Righteousness exalts a nation, sin is a reproach and humiliation, but revival brings restoration. Our Messiah applies this very passage to us (Mt.22:37). So, that's a good reason for us to repent and grow in faithful obedience to all observable Torah portions! After all, the Spirit testifies we obey Torah (Heb.10:15-16) "from now and forever" (citing Is.59:20-21 at Rom.11:26-27). And, Paul APPLIES this Psalm to us (via Eph.5:19;Col.3:16). Jesus ALSO upholds the Psalms as scripture which can NOT be set aside (Jn.10); thus Jesus applies Ps. 119 to us also. AND, Jesus applies Dt. 6 to us (Mt.22:37). Dt. 6 (in CONTEXT!) requires that we express LOVE through obedience to ALL Torah-commandments (Dt.6:25), and THAT will be our righteousness(Dt.6:25). blessings...
