We must at the same time take care not to overestimate our interpretation of what is or what is not the Lord's will or intention. In time's past, leaders in Israel believed they could not be defeated for YHVH is the true God. But, the Lord had other plans / reasons for allowing the defeat of Israel at certain points in history. Typically it had to do with sin, idolatry, faithlessness, you know, things we in the Church Age are far more guilty of...
