Has anyone seen this movie?   I caught about a half hour of it last night.   What I saw was very interesting.

It's about the events leading up to the translating of the King James Bible.

William Tyndale's earlier translations were used alot by the scholars working on the King James Bible.

It was sad that Tyndale was put to death by strangulation, and then burned at the stake.    He gave his life to translate the Bible into English.    Whereas nowadays many people don't even read the Bible.   This was all portrayed in the movie, as they would interview people on the street....and then go back to acting out the story.

Why is this movie banned there?   It is a documentary type movie.   Biblical scholars are also briefly interviewed now and then in it.

It has something to do with licensing and copyright rules, ...that's what Google told me.

Not exactly "banned" in Tahiti or elsewhere. This is a three-episode miniseries, made recently in 2012, so not generally available for free viewing. Youtube does have some short samples. I would hope that those samples are available in most countries.

I did see it for sale on the internet.   I watched it on PBS, public broadcasting.
