It's been years since I took it.I'm not into hurting people but I think self defense and being in shape is great. Lots of honor for teachers in these Asian systems of learning. I am presently augmenting my violin lessons with the Suzuki method. Very Japanese. We bow before every lesson. And my teacher makes me practice the same thing a gazillion times.
