A lot of people do NOT enjoy reading a lot of controversy, bickering, and name-calling and being attacked. So they tend to read and post less. I suppose some debating is ok, but not when the conversations turn into spiteful responses because they aren't winning and converting people over to their side, or someone disagrees with a minor point that isn't a salvational issue. The debates cease to be a healthy debate or conversation. Some people debate simply because they like to stir up controversy.
