Marilyn, clear would be you don't believe Christ will reign on this earth for 1000 years.

Hi Enoch,

That`s correct. The Lord Jesus Christ will rule from His own throne in the highest, (Rev. 3: 21) not from His footstool, the earth. (Isa. 66: 1)

He will rule through the nation of Israel over the other nations of the earth in the millennium and also in the New Earth. That was promised to Israel. (Micah 4: 1 - 3)

Matt. 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Luke 1:32 “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

The Kingdom of David is earthly, not heavenly.

Hi Wiliam,

I also believe that the rulership, (kingdom) of David is on earth. The Lord Jesus Christ will rule through His regent, King David, (Jer. 30: 9,  Ez. 37: 24)

Hi Marilyn

I have said most of things before regarding my view of these things. We will be with Jesus forever, We will reign with Him and sit on His throne. His throne will be in New Jerusalem which come out of heaven from God. It will not "land" on the Earth but remain above it. Nations will walk in its light. He/we will reign as He does now-from above. Just as a king once reigned on this land from across an ocean it will be so then as well.

Hi Uriah,

You need to look carefully at the New Jerusalem coming down. It comes OUT of heaven, and FROM God. The Lord Jesus Christ will certainly have His `throne,` authority there, however His seat of power and authority is higher up in the third heaven.

If you place the Lord`s highest seat of power and authority in the New Jerusalem then you are placing Him

- below the angels, below where even Lucifer ruled, and that is NOT making Him pre-eminent over ALL.

Hi Marilyn,

This could be contradictory. Throne vs seat of power? Same thing, no?

Rev. 21:2 & 3- And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Also, continuing the description of NJ in the next chapter...

Rev. 22:3- And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

No matter where God's throne is, nothing/nobody is above Him.

The Bible clearly says the New Jerusalem comes down from the heavens to the new Earth where the Lord will dwell with man. Rev: 21

Hi Enoch,

My view is a bit different from this, that is, you mean that the city will come down ONTO the surface of the Earth. It would completely cover Israel and other nations.

Wow! OK, how will that work? Crush His own people...land?

I have read that if it were as seen below (an attempt at scale) one would need to excavate to the depth of 70 miles at its center so the entire base would be at ground level.

My belief is that it will remain above the Earth.
