For the last 15 years or so I have spent a lot of time in good natured exchanges on the internet in various fora. This year has been very difficult as there is now so little tolerance now for opposing views. My favorite forum now deletes more of my posts than they allow, And I recently got a 5 day suspension for the crime of being wrong, despite having a source. Source was unapproved.

I had both a challenging pass time, and an excellent opportunity to witness and open eyes. Now that is all gone.

I guess I just felt like having a bit of a moan about it, I'll be all right, But I am somewhat depressed about the state of our freedoms. How did it come to be that the liberals are the ones who can't stand freedom of expression.

Censorship is one of the biggest threats to democracy.
Once there is one party rule, the economy and rights will decline.  Happens 100% of the time. Sometimes it takes a while, other times, like Venezuela and Cuba, it happened quickly.
Many do not read history much anymore and believe that their one party ruling would be a good thing.

Total power corrupts. It is not about the positions the current politicians take, but one party rule allows for total corruption and it is the next guy in office who will not be looking out for the constituents interests.

Exactly.  There is one Toronto professor by the name Jordan Peterson who has been sounding this horn for more than a decade.  The next generations of leaders who are being taught at the universities are majority leftist, socialist manipulated.  Just do some research as many are blind to this.   You cannot be a conservative in a university campus and live normal .

Be careful, the chicken woke up with his oy vey wand.  The strike is coming, I can smell it. :vader:

The world can be an unfriendly place. Now that they apparently have won the White House, maybe they will start attacking each other instead of attacking us.

True unity is in the Lord and in the truth, not in enforced conformity to a set of man-made restrictions.

A message forum, which I assume is what you are talking about. Has the right to delete post it dose not approve of. This is not a violation on your freedom. You are allowed to say what ever you like. But sometime you have to use your own platform to do so.  Not someone else.

Sorry but it sounds like the OP is talking about a message forum and not a country.

Yes indeed; but that is a much misused Scripture; for example: it should not be misused to muzzle people who speak uncomfortable truths, just because some will be offended by them.

Who is being muzzled?  This is how stories get started. I believe the OP is talking about a message forum.  As they did not say anything about Gov. showing up at their door to  silent them. But only that their post have been deleted off of a message forum.
