Your go-to verses for evangelism

I thought it might be helpful to sort of trade notes, so to speak. What are your go-to verses when you want to answer people's questions? About sin, about their need for God, what they need to do to be saved, God's views on certain topics, or whatever else. Some verses you find you go to often or are particularly helpful?

John 3:16 provides the response to the gospel (trust Jesus for eternal life) AND assurance (whoever trusts today will never in the future perish).

Romans does a very good job of laying out the case for salvation. There is an old but tried and true set of scriptures called the "Romans Road"

Romans Road of Scripture

I. Romans 3:10

As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.

II. Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

III. Romans 5:8

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

IV. Romans 5:12

  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

V. Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.

 VI. Romans 10:9-11

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with
the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

VII. Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

One I've needed to used a lot in recent years is:

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. Leviticus 18:22 RSV

Greetings,

i usually use the term sexual immorality to describe all forms of intimacy outside of marriage.

when a person asks what is the difference between there lifestyle and anothers.

sometimes people fixate or place one form of immorality above another form of immorality.

I like to use a 3 panel brochure which when folded the front says.  

Hello

My name is Jesus.

I watched you when you born.

I watched you when you were happy.

I watched you when you were sad.

I heard you cry out to me.

When I answered.

You forgot about me.

I long to be part of your life.

I love you unconditionally.

I want to spend eternity with you.

Neat thread.
Most any day at my shop, my wife and I have deliveries and pick ups from our two businesses.
We always offer cold bottled water they welcome, and this gives them pause from their hectic pace.
Listening to them and showing a little compassion opens up their ears to share.
I find I don't get into debate or receive angry questions when sharing the gospel.
I do not start preaching, but try to steer the conversation towards what I was, what I'd become.
I stick to the reality of how God has changed my life, and why. Plow the soil, first.
I rarely "quote" word for word scripture to impress, but paraphrased understandable truth.
I let them know I realized I had been lost, and I needed to be saved, to be born again.
They need to understand they are lost before they will have a desire to be saved, and listen.
I tell them in my own words exactly what God says in scripture. On their level.
It's different approach, say,  for a young troubled teenage girl, vs a middle age motorcycle biker.
To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews.
To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law),
so as to win those under the law.
"To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak:
I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some"
I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings"

Wise as a serpent, harmless as a dove.

I usually will lead up to the gospel after explaining how I realized I was condemned to hell for my sins.
Explaining how my years in RCC falsely believing I had to work at being good, and confessing to a priest for forgiveness.
How upset I was that no one had ever told me the simple truth, that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus. Belief.
Then how eventually at a funeral for a neighbor I heard a bible verse that said 'You must be born again to go to heaven'
Then I share with them the good news, having shared I was a sinner just like everybody and Jesus had paid my debt.
Like others posted here, I use a print out of the Roman road or some simple tracts to give them,
depending  upon the likelihood of a future opportunity for dialog.
I eventually cover the basics, we are all sinners destine for hell, Jesus is God who died for our sins, and arose from the dead.
I don't force-feed them, but try to listen to their concerns, sharing what scripture says about dealing with problems.
Haven't encountered an atheist in years. Most people will listen, time permitting, if only to be polite.
I have no pre planned methods or scripture. Too many different situations.
Anybody that is saved has the all the knowledge they need to share their understanding with others, just as we were.
I once was lost, but now I'm saved. Here's how.  I do not push for a decision, unless they ask.
I do not want them to say words to please me. That is between them and God.
My wife has led many youth to confess belief in Christ in her bible study class. They had not been hardened yet.
I do ask/pray the Holy Spirit to work through me to present the word, and leave the results to God.
Most often used;
Give them a new testament, and a bible promise book, by subject matter.
Salvation by grace through faith, and not works!!

There is none without sin, not one.
Sin sends the unforgiving to hell/death(separated from God-forever).

The Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Explain repentance means changing their thinking (light/truth belief)
that removes darkness  (false thinking-unbelief)).
God is Light. (emphasized) In Him is no darkness.
God's promises are true. All of them.
The devil is the prince of lies.
He is probably whispering in your ear now, to disbelieve me.
Do not listen to him, or the old lies in your mind. Try it.
Try and listen to what God says in the bible.
and,God says, 
"My sheep hear my voice"

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written,
How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace,
and bring glad tidings of good things!"   Romans 10:14-15
