  1. Greetings, You may find this helpful or controversial. Peace.
  2. The context of do not kill in the first covenant meant the Hebrews were not to murder someone unlawfully or that would constitute murder and they would be held accountable. The only times they could lawfully take someones life and be held blameless was in war against their enemies or when relevant commandments or statutes were broken and they were commanded under the law to take somebodies life. The army of Israel were fighting one of their enemies, so it was lawful for them and David to kill their enemies and still obey the commandment do not kill unlawfully.
  3. The enemy comes to steal kill and destroy but Jesus comes to give us life and life more abuntantly becuase our foundation is built on the rock and not the sand so when the storms of life come against us we trust in Jesus for victory and not in others or ourselves. John 10.10 - Mathew 7.24-27
  4. i watched How Science Reveals God's Trans-Dimensional Power by Hugh Ross on you tube but after the first 5-10 mins but it was to academic and theological for me i just like plain and simple explanations. But thank you for the reference.
  5. Greetings, i have never understood the concept or principles of predestination, it is to overwhelming for me to comprehend and understand its context. But taking up your cross and walking with Jesus is just 1 day at a time and that is more than enough for me to overcome.
  6. Greetings One of the verses that always comforts me is rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is your reward in heaven for so persecuted they prophets that were before you. Mathew 5.12 I love hearing Jesus’ perspective when we are facing or going through trials and tribulations in our personal relationships and no matter how many times we fail our test and trail getting back up each time and trying again is the victory. And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 May you rejoice in Gods grace as you submit and surrender to his will and enjoy victory. I am grateful for your courage and sincerity to share your trail with us. Peace
  7. Greetings, It is almost a controversial topic the liberty to make free choices or fulfilling the destiny that has already been chosen for us. I look at the character of God and it is clear throughout his word he is holy righteous and just. I see the examples in the bible and it seems the angels in heaven had the ability to choose. I see in the bible that God gave dominion and liberty for humanity to rule over creation. I see the example of Adam and Eve and it seems they had the freedom to choose. I see the examples in the bible and it seems all people and all nations had the choice to serve God. I see the commandments and statutes in the bible which gave the people the choice to obey or disobey and be rewarded or punished. I see a verse in the bible that gives me hope and comfort that says God is no respecter of persons. This seems to indicate that God wants men to choose his own path. Then I hear another point of view that God is omnipotent the highest authority, omnipresence everywhere at once, and omniscience, all knowing. I hear many scriptures that refer to God knowing us before our birth, and some believe that our path and choices have already been chosen for us and we are just fulfilling our destiny and Gods plan for our lives. When I consider the possibility of this position, it sounds like it contradicts examples, other scriptures and the character of God in the bible. When I hear the quote, what right does the clay have to question the potter that basically God is sovereign and if he chooses to do this or that who are we to stand in his way. When I contemplate both these points of view I can only conclude if I have free will or if I am just fulfilling Gods plan for my life May we all love God and my neighbour with all our hearts, and exhort edify and encourage all those that cross our paths. Peace.
  8. Greetings, It is interesting how you mention intellect and a person’s heart, I remember before my born again experience I struggled at school with concepts and could not understand principals and this was carried over to my adult life. I believe people with intellectual disabilities have an IQ under 70, Forest Gumps IQ was 75 and my IQ test is about 73. This is pretty accurate and I was comfortable and confident socially but had little to minimum academic ability what soever. Then the day I got born again my born again encounter was the day when God took all my weaknesses and turned them onto my strengths and at the time I had no idea. It only become evident when I went out and started sharing the good news, that it was through the word of God that I become discipled and educated and by God’s grace I was able to understand concepts principals and became articulated in my communication and interactions with others. God bestowed his grace and gift upon my life, and granted me the academic and intellectual ability to understand information and yet my IQ is still 73 and I am so grateful to God that he had mercy on me. As for the heart I was off to the pub that night and when I picked up my brother from the airport and dropped him off at his home, he shared the good news with us and I reluctantly accepted because I had an ulterior motive to go to heaven in case, I died at the pub that night and instead had a radical born again encounter which again by Gods mercy changed my life forever. My intentions and motives were selfish and yet God still embraced me with all my transgressions so I can only testify that the goodness of God does lead us to repentance. Peace
  9. Greetings, You seem to have many questions and seek many answers and that is natural however your personal relationship is with Jesus and he has given us his word and inside his word is everything that meets our needs, it is our responsibility to renew our minds in his word so that we learn grow and transform. This helps us to become disciples and grounds us in the word of God so we rely depend and trust in God and his word. You just need to be still and know the he is God and he is in control all we do is deny our selves take up our cross each day and follow him. It is a process but if you will submit and surrender each day, it is through trails and tribulation that the flesh is stripped away so our Spirit can emerge victorious to serve our king another day. Peace.
  10. Greetings, I didn't realise it but I have always believed in the OSAS concept, but not in the OSAS premise, they are the opposite.
  11. Greetings, It is a practical question. I think it is important, to put everything into context. We know God flooded the earth, and took the lives everyone’s except for the 8 in the ark. We know throughout the bible, at different times God has taken people’s lives. We know in the first covenant; God’s people battled and went to war against other nations outside of the covenant. We know God said not to kill, which is in the context is do not murder unless it is in war or in violation of the 613 statutes. So, it is clear that God took people’s lives, and permitted his people to lawfully take people’s lives at different times. Under the new covenant, we are encouraged to walk in the Spirit, be fruitful and be more Christlike etc. However, we are all at different stages in our personal relationship with Jesus we have the free will to make our own choices. I think if one decides to defend himself, and another decides to rely on Jesus for protection it is the decision of the believer. I believe they both have to except the responsibilities and repercussions of their decisions in everything they do. I think the teachings of Jesus are usually experienced by the trial and error of the believer, and this is what helps the believer to learn grow and transform.
  12. Greeting I think this is one of the most important topics that is not discussed honestly or addressed properly. Salvation, healing deliverance and provision are all given by grace. Our heavenly father has specifically, provided each one to meet a persons every need so they do not lack. As you have said biblical prosperity is, but seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Mathew 6.33 The message is plain and clear, no gimmicks misconceptions or misleading principles. However, the corruption that has evolved over time in the body of Christ, has affected the example teaching and practice of relationship prosperity and religious prosperity that fulfils the carnal desires. Jesus said something interesting to the disciples and people, all therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. Mathew 23.3 It is the believer’s responsibility to always refer back to the word, and follow its faithful teachings and examples. Prosperity fellowships, depend on income to operate, and without denotations they would close or collapse. Biblical prosperity fellowships are encouraged to obey honour and depend on God to meet their needs with praise and thanksgiving. Man will always let man down, but Jesus will never leave us or forsake us. Hebrews 13:5 That’s a guarantee.
  13. Greetings, The beatitudes seem to express God love and promises to his people. For me it reads. Blessed are the poor in Spirit for theirs in the kingdom of God. Favoured are those who are spiritually poor, for you will have the chance to hear the good news and enter the kingdom of heaven.
