That is very good as long as you also do not consume any soda pop or tea which also has caffeine in it. Smoking is not a bad habit it is an addiction. These three worldly acceptable drugs alcohol, caffeine and nicotine should be consumed in moderation. Because all three are an addiction.

The Lord led me to stop smoking. I consume no tea or caffeinated pop. When I did as the Lord led me to do, my life was transformed. I suspect everyone would experience the same transformation as I, if they obeyed the Lord.

That is great and I am sure that your body says "thanks". But not everyone is as successful as you are. We can not judge them.

So if i drive  a car without the Holy Spirit, its a work of flesh?

That is correct.  Anything we do, which is not led by the Holy Spirit, is a work of the flesh, since those are the only two sources for works done by a Christian.

No im not. I could say the same to you. I would be careful what you call a work of flesh.

Gal 5:19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Smoking cigarettes comes under "the like".

If our lives are characterised by works of the flesh, then it shows that we are not born again.  This is not the same thing as having an area of sin, when our lives are characterised by righteousness.

I don't why this is even an issue.  Most Christians would realise right away that smoking cigarettes is from the flesh and not the Holy Spirit.

The Lord told us to spread the gospel. Would you prefer we remain silent?

I don't know where "spreading the gospel" has gotten into this conversation. If you are talking about bullying those who consume those drugs I don't think that will work. In fact it may make it worse. Why not try praying for them?

If you think it is bullying to say, "The Lord led me to give up certain bad habits, such as smoking, and my life was transformed," then maybe you are too sensitive.

Like I said before smoking is not a bad habit it is an addiction. Pray for them and let God handle it.

I think you'll find the Lord doesn't want us to smoke.

No, the Lord does not want us to many things that we do. We are sinners. We will not be perfect until we get to heaven.
