One where two people are bound together. Marriage would be an example. It's not referring, I believe, to normal friendships. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? Paul probably had in mind where in Deut. They could say they are and yet not be. Deception is common and especially on the internet, and are unable to verify anyone's stories that could mean even someone here. I am in God’s light, I wouldn’t say I fellowship with them, how can I, they are in darkness, but I believe God wants me to be kind to them, I can join in some of the conversations and share insight with them. Shouldn’t there be a difference in the mannerism of a born again...that unbelievers notice? i know they notice God in me, that’s why I believe they are always trying to wind me up, .they can’t believe where my self control comes from.. I look to Jesus for self control not to myself......through prayer, that has taken many, many years for me to hand over my pride and ego to the Lord.
