Mass graves being found in former Catholic schools in Canada

Probably lots more to come, I  think it is about 1000 graves so far that were found via ground penetrating radar. The Canadian government made it mandatory for native kids to attend, separated them from their families, and taught them things that were against their beliefs and family wishes. (That sounds familiar these days as mandatory schools teach all sorts of filthy things that believing parents would not agree with) What is the solution to the crimes, in this case the crimes of mandatory residential schools of the past? I would think that the Canadian government has proven themselves unworthy and unable to dictate what is best for kids and families. They should get out of the 'mandatory' business! The Catholics whose schools were used to impose the will of the government were shown to be horror centres filled with death and sexual abuse and cruelty. How could anyone continue to work in that outfit? They are already known for rampant sexual abuse of children in the modern age as well. All in the name of 'god'.

While the Catholic Church was the dominant player in the residential school system, they were not the only denomination to get involved in that. This is not something as Protestants that we can simply absolve ourselves from because we are not Catholics. Anglican, Methodist, Mennonite, United were all involved. Some schools were listed as non-denominational.

As to current education, that is the purview of the provinces, not the federal government.

The government passed the laws and enforced the mandatory separation of children from families and teaching things contrary to their beliefs by force. The instruments used were mostly Catholics and of course also some others who were willing. The cruelty and harshness and abuses that were a part of that system resulted in many deaths and much suffering. I am all for evangelizing and preaching the gospel and teaching and helping all peoples who need to know the truth. I am not for forcing them and abusing their rights and bodies and minds though! The government of Canada (and elsewhere of course) makes it mandatory even today for children to attend school of some kind. The majority end up in public schools. There they are taught all sorts of filth and evil and lies that go against the faith of many parents and children. (abortion,evolution, unnatural sexual practices, godless history, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc) The government is still in the mandatory abuse business. There is no place in the bible where this is condoned or taught.  The people involved in the past in this mandatory mental spiritual and physical molestation in Canada did their crimes under the cover of a big cross. As you mentioned education is now the responsibility of provincial and territorial governments. However the feds are still involved in funding to some extent. example:  https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/schools-covid-pandemic-funding-1.5699900  In the past Canada hired Catholics and others to deal with the compulsory education, and these days they basically hired/used the provinces.  The beliefs of families were violated using religion in the past and are now being violated using anti religion it seems to me.
