Doesn't matter, For God through the Holy Spirit is fully able to reveal Himself to us and what He requires of us.

On another forum I'm on, a poster made a long post and stated that they are hopelessly lost, that they can never change or repent.  I cannot understand a Christian thinking like that?  The same punishment that was given for homosexuality in the OT was given also for fornication and adultery ~ STONING.  We serve a God who can CHANGE lives...that is the BEAUTY of the Gospel.  No one can be saved IN their sins...but we can all be saved FROM our sins :).  I hope we are all on the same page!

To my knowledge there is only one sin that is not forgivable.  And except f0r that only one that is not forgiven.  The unrepented sin. 1 Corinthians 6  lists many sins that can keep you from heaven, and then encourages to turn away from them

1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

We were all sinners....we cannot ever claim any righteousness of our own

Agreed!

 

But because the addition from King James, readers assume God is calling Same Sex Men, Sodomites.

 

God called them the same as a Woman who prostituted in the Hebrew Tongue.

 

We've assigned a name to a condition/situation that does not apply.   Sure, it can be reasoned even what we read in the KJV is true towards Same Sex Men.   We can even reason it equals sodomy in our moralistic view.   But a Prostitute means something different than a Sodomite.

Roman 1kjv bible say's God gave them over to a reproate mind regard how might feel about it this is what the apostle teached

soft; soft to the touch, delicate, Mt. 11:8; Lk. 7:25; met. an instrument of unnatural lust, effeminate, 1 Cor. 6:9*

The word is also found in these verses.

 

Matt. 11:8 (KJVS) But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.

When homosexual, lesbians and bisexual rejoice in sin and shame and refuse to repent they fulfil  Roman 1.

when they are convicted and turn from their former wicked life in faith and repentance. God grace is available to blot out their sins as far as the east is to the west God remembers them no more.

We the christians are the one's who really care for and love them. We dont want them to die and end up in the lake of fire.

That's why we warn them of the serious danger ahead, and give them the good news of the gospel. If they will hear the truth angels rejoice in heaven if they reject it bad news ahead.(fire and brimestone)

And the shame and guilt is so strong, they need help to stop.  But because he feels so ashamed about it, he dare not talk to anyone about getting help.  He's in a real catch 22. 

So, sometimes, it's more than just a person is a horrible person for doing such a thing.  No, it's more than we can understand.  This person is a wonderful person, but just caught in 1) unresolved feelings over the abuse by a father, 2) unresolved guilt over abuse by an older person, 3) lifestyle forced upon him, and 4) struggle go overcome.  

Can you imagine a young child whose father psychologically abuse them for years.  No human being can help that person, only God.  Because to that young mind, the father was God.
