Worthless Bravery In Battle (Wasted Courage).
By JAG
August 10, 2021

First, love God with all your heart, obey Him, then be successfully-brave
during deadly death-dealing battles.

The fighters of the tribe of Manasseh were Spartan-like. "They were brave
warriors, famous men", but "they were unfaithful to God" so the Lord delivered
them into the hands of Tiglath-Pileser King of Assyria, who took them into exile
captivity, and slavery. (1 Chronicles 5:23-26.)

The Spartans were brave and famous too. But today Sparta exists only in our
imaginations, our books, and in our movies.

The Spartan-like warrior General George Patton said, "The fixed determination
to acquire the warrior soul, and once having acquired it, to conquer or perish
with honor is the secret to victory."

That isn't true.

"Warrior soul" does have its useful place in the Drama Of Life ("There is a time
for war" Eccl. 3:1, 8 but if nations want to survive General Time (who is a fierce
cold-hearted killer) they need more than battle-bravery and fighter's fame ~ they
need the favor, blessing, and protection of the Sovereign God.

In the world of men today there is much hate and evil afoot.

"Such is the nature of evil. Out there in the vast ignorance of the world it festers
and spreads. A shadow that grows in the dark. A sleepless malice as black as the
oncoming wall of night. So it ever was. So will it always be. In time all foul things
come forth."__Thandril, the Elvinking of the Woodland Realm of Mirkwood.

Mankind is a warrior species. Today, 21st century, the human race has not yet
outgrown its love of war. Humans are combatants ~ fierce ferocious fighters who
forever fight military or political battles. Homo homni lupus (man is a wolf to man).
One U.S. Senator, Arlen Spector from Pennsylvania, wrote a book about his time
with the politicians in Washington D.C. and titled it Life Among The Cannibals.

"Only the dead have seen an end to war."

Happy Note:
Al this war-stuff will be over one day (Rev. 21:3-5) . . . but not right now.

In the certain-coming battles of the 21st century the men of America (and women)
will urgently need the praise, approval, and shielding of the God Of Battles (Exodus 15:3)
in order to emerge victorious against the onslaughts of General War and General Time.

Wars, military wars or political wars, are inevitable but God will fight for The Good
and for His People. "The LORD is a Warrior" (Exodus 15:3) . . .

Yet, peace, not war, is here being celebrated. The best (and noblest) soldiers are
absolutely-fierce reluctant warriors whose motto is "Blessed are the peacemakers
for they will be called children of God."__The Lion Of The Tribe Of Judah (Matthew
5:9) The best (and most dangerous) warriors are the ones who take to heart, "if it
is possible, so far as it depends on you, live at peace with all men." Romans 12:18

But sometimes its not possible. And the absolutely-fierce reluctant warriors who prefer
peaceful solutions to human disagreements have nevertheless demonstrated a fierce
locked-down determination to fight fiercely and ferociously against evil-tyranny, to
defend the good, and destroy the evil. One example: America and The Allies came
together (1941 - 1945) with the edge of the bloody sword and stomped to death
German Nazism and Italian Fascism. World War 2 was a just war. It had to be fought.
Hitler and Mussolini were dead-set in their Free Wills and craved war and world
domination. America, defending freedom, lost over 400,000 dead in World War 2.
Hero's they were.

The absolutely-fierce reluctant warriors say to all men, Come let us peacefully
settle our differences. But to the would-be enslaving tyrants who demand their
surrender and that they lay down their weapons: Molon Labe.

And they then quote:

"Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome and fight
for your families, your sons and daughters, your wives and your homes."
(Nehemiah 4:14)

Yet, no sane person wants war. War is metal flying through the air ripping off arms and
legs leaving stumps. War is facial disfigurement. People that want war have never
walked through those special wards in VA Hospitals where doctors care for the seriously
and permanently-damaged hero's.

War separates husbands and wives.

War breaks the hearts of families.

The Lord Jesus was sent to eventually save us all from the ravages of war, and He will
do exactly that in due time (Rev. 21: 3-5). Meanwhile we pray for peace among all nations,
we remain proudly armed to the teeth, and we remember every minute of the day, that
loving God and obeying Him is the only path to victory when fighting military (and political)
wars.

Interesting thoughts. I have a few of my own, and we're not that far apart. You're going to need a pot of coffee and a handful of 'No Doze' for this one. Ten unredeemable cyber points for those that don't fall asleep.

I don't pretend to have all the answers, but I know who does that I trust and have my faith, hope and trust in; along with my own thoughts and reasoned opinions. Formed from knowing my Bible; Israel - Judah war history; historical 20/20 hindsight of global and American wars, and my personal military experience in war and conflict.

The Russians have a saying, "they pretend to pay us, and we pretend to work." I'm going to introduce three key words, that are going to flow from my train of thought on this subject; faithmotivation and leadership. There is a laundry list of brave American military hero's and leaders that could be selected from throughout American history; from many of our founding fathers, to today, to use as examples.

First I want to point out the obvious few talk about or consider: From 1776 to 1945 (169 years), how many wars did America lose? Since the end of WW II in 1945, America (in the end) has lost every war and conflict it has been involved with; Korea, Viet Nam, the Gulf Wars, the middle-east, the war on drugs, the war against terrorism, on and on. What happened, what changed since our last win? Are we not still a global superpower, now proud, boastful and arrogant?

It's too lengthily to detail all the events and dates that have transpired since 1945; but to summarize the effects, we kicked the One who so richly blessed this nation, out of everything and everywhere. We have passed legislation calling evil and abominations good, and good we now call evil [non-inclusive, intolerant, bigoted, hate speech, domestic terrorists, etc.]. Historically, when these things become the 'law of the land', national judgment is close at hand. We need to look no further than our Bible, but I'm going to include some secular observation also; to put the cherry atop the banana split.

Back to those three key words; faith, motivation and leadership. Since 1945 or there about, what happened to America's faith, motivation and leadership? Answer: As a nation; Elvis has left the building.  A good, brave and successful soldier and military, has to possess all three of these attributes. Does our modern voluntary military forces still possess these three things? Absolutely not!

Our military forces were Constitutionally founded to do one thing; protect our borders from foreign threat. Do we even have what defines a nation, borders, anymore? We have turned into a global empire policing the world, at our own detriment, paying for it with American lives and blood; for political agenda's and purposes, not national defense.

I'll just briefly touch on this; when in biblical history in particular, or global history in general [of a decent society], were women allowed as equals to men in combat and the front lines? In general, can a 100# woman drag a 200# man out of a burning house, or a 200# wounded soldier on the battle field 100 yards to safety quickly, to save his life? Not to mention their sanitary needs, the unspeakable of female P.O.W.s and their susceptibilities to their enemy counterparts. Whom is the stronger / weaker vessel?

What is a major title and duty assigned to the President of the United States? Commander and Chief, of our military forces. I'm the Head Chef of the most prestigious and expensive restaurant in America; yet I've never even been a chef before, and I don't know how to cook or how to process anything, what or how things work, what's involved and the needs of my underlings, because I have no hands on experience; haven't been there, done that. How do you command respect, lead and motivate those under you? In the military, I've worked and followed orders under inexperienced idiots. Where does a life long career politician gain any real world valuable experience and knowledge, not having done anything in his or her life that's productive and valuable?

From 1970 - 1990, when it started to become unpopular to wear the service uniform in public and serve our country [baby killers, etc.]; I was proud to serve my country and put myself in harms way. I still had some faith in our country and in our leadership as a nation. I was motivated to do my best, and be a part of what made our nation great, and be a small part of preserving our remaining morals, values, character and God granted freedoms. For myself, my family, my prodigy and my country. I'll refrain from mentioning the indignities and real physical threats I experienced from so called "Americans."

I have questioned myself; given the opportunity to serve again, defending what America has morphed into, would I put myself in harms way again?

The simple principle of; united we stand, divided we fall is in full force these last days. This go around, for the first time in history, a global government is being established, and it will succeed with the Lawless One as its leader. The same ole satanic historical tactics are being employed to shape this coming New World Order.

History is cyclic, there is nothing new under the sun, what has been shall be; all nations and empires go through the exact same cycle time and again. America is no exception; think of America as you ponder this cycle of nations:

The Cycle  of  Nations: (1) From  bondage  to spiritual  faith. (2) From  spiritual  faith to great courage. (3) From  courage to  liberty. (4) From  liberty  to abundance. (5) From  abundance  to selfishness. (6) From  selfishness  to  complacency. (7) From  complacency to  apathy. (8) From  apathy  to  dependency. (9) From  dependency  back  again  into bondage. --Sir  Alex  Fraser  Tyler

Throughout biblical history, freedom was not free, and it never was. It was blessed and granted with a price. From the entrance to the promised land, and hence forward; blood, sweat and tears were required to obtain freedom and God's blessings. Just as the Jew's squandered it away time and again, so America follows, and the downfall for the same reasons [Idol worship; child sacrifice (abortion); kicking the One True God out; passing laws calling good evil, and evil good; etc.].

Where do we see America today in the proven historical cycle of nations? No doubt number 9 above...

COMMUNIST RULES FOR REVOLUTION:

1. Corrupt the young; get them away from religion. [Teach them there is no God, evolution, everything happened by chance, gender neutrality, homosexual acts normal, a fetus is just an appendage etc.].

2. Break down the old moral virtues. [There’s no right or wrong, who are you to judge, your morals may not be my morals, morals are subjective, good is evil and evil is good, racial reparation's].

3. Encourage civil disorders… A soft government attitude toward crime. [Sanctuary cities, ANTIFA, BLM, bailing criminals out of jail, not charging criminals, open up the borders, mandatory masks, take a knee, on and on].

4. Divide the people into hostile groups. [Race; religion; economic status; basket of deplorables, now domestic terrorists; censorship; spying; political affiliation; restrict gatherings, travel, events; etc.].

5. Get the people’s minds off their government by focusing their attention elsewhere. [Purported pandemic, free money for not working; sports, entertainment, look what Madonna and Britney did today, etc.].

6. Get control of all media. [Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, NBC, Face Book, Twitter, YouTube, Yahoo, on and on].

7. Destroy people’s faith in their leaders. [Congress 11% approval rating last check; a president who cannot string two sentences together; liberal radical congressmen; spending, borrowing and printing money that can never be repaid; etc. ].

8. Cause the registration of all firearms… To eventually confiscate. [Now’s the big push].

Hello, I'm from the government and I'm here to help. Maybe it's just me, but the preceding eight rules are the play book now blatantly in my face.

Quid pro quo; anyone see our end-time world differently than I do?

I am reminded of the passage of the armor of God

How we are to Gird our waist with truth

Take on the breastplate of Righteousness

Shod our Feet with the preparation of peace

Don the helmet of salvation

Take up the shield of faith

and arm yourself with the sword of the Spirit.

Ephesians 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

You are right we are not made to be invaders, or assaulters.  Our battle that is not of flesh and blood is one of defense. Sometimes we are called to advance to place our ring of defense around something or someone.  But in the end, we stand, and overcome through the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony

Interesting thread from you, JAG.

I always think Judge Advocate General when I see your username, and the TV program JAG about legal matters of the US Navy.

When we examine what sort of things angels and people go to war about it has much to do with control, and everything to do with desire.

The paradigm in which good and evil coexist is a testing one, and there is none better than its Creator to resolve its conflict, and make a way of escape from it.

Luk 21:34-36  "But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.  (35)  For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.  (36)  Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."

Dennis, thank you for that write up. You made some very good points. And

I appreciate you taking the time to share them. Your posts sounds like you might

be interested in Mark R. Levine's latest book titled American Marxism. I think its

now on the New York Times Best Seller List. Amazon has it. It just came out recently

and I think they have sold about 1 million copies and are fixing to print some more.

Best Regards.

Michael,

Thank you for the link.

I read it and made a copy for my files.

I really love angels and I have a collection of pictures and paintings  of angels.
