Ah...fiosh...my nemesis is here!  I have been wondering where you were today!!!   I think your last post kind of proves the whole point of Protestantism...we look to God, not a Church.  You are looking to a Church...giving that preeminance over what your own convictions are.  You should not be worried about if your beliefs are perfect representations of the RCC's stance...you should be worried about whether or not you conscience is at peace with the Holy Spirit.  That is what worries me so much about Catholics...they are often putting their faith in an earthly visible Institution before trusting their own God-given intellects and conscience.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

You are looking to a Church...giving that preeminance over what your own convictions are.

Tell that to Jesus. When Jesus knocked Saul to the ground on the road to Damascus, Jesus asked him "Why are you prosecuting ME!?" He didn't ask, "Why are you prosecuting My followers!?" The Church IS Jesus body.

you should be worried about whether or not you conscience is at peace with the Holy Spirit.  That is what worries me so much about Catholics...they are often putting their faith in an earthly visible Institution before trusting their own God-given intellects and conscience

No need to worry about Catholics.

You do not have certitude of faith with simple intellectual belief. To achieve the and rise to the heights of faith and let God communicate directly to the soul illuminated by the Hloy Spirit you must be a Contemplative. Then you will be granted an underlying peace that the superficial and transient pursutes and pleasures of this world cnnot give no matter how we immerse in them. In the progress toward perfection you will become aware of the evere deepeing and divine incomprehensibility of God. Thius is the Church of the heart which clings to the Lord and meditates unceasingly on Him.

Having intered this heart Church you then can ascend to the high Church and its liturgy which transcends all human speach. To enter ther must be self emptying and total purification of the heart.

Assisi...you are bolded...I am not.

Yes...but thus the whole point...I don't believe that the RCC is Jesus' Body...because the Holy Spirit and His Word tells me that. Believe it or not...I was a Saul. Not to that extent...but you get my point I hope.

Speaking of intellect...I didn't understand a thing you just said there.

Good day...

Fiosh...I sound like a three year old...your words are bolded:

Well it is good to see that at least you are consistent, my friend.

I ask I reasonable question in an attempt to have a civilized discussion....you go off on some tirade.Calm now? Out of your system?Ok, one more time.

Funny stuff...ever think of being a comedian??? ;)

Do you want to know exactly what the RCC teaches us poor, misguided, mindless brain-washed, morons..........or do you want to know Pax's or my interpretation?

It may be different.

Again...funny stuff. ;) But on a serious note...I want to know why you and Pax's beliefs are not the exact same as the Catholic Church's. You are Catholics, right? And you are the Body of Christ, right? I know...I'm stirring your pot. But it's my job...right??? :)

God bless.

p.s. I go back to work tonight...so the mice can play...(hope that made sense)

Hey Halifax!

I'm gonna miss you! ;)

No, I'll never be a stand-up; I confine my talents to provoking you. :)

;)

RE: different understandings.

All I'm saying is that if you consider there are over a billion Catholics in the world........of which there are 4 or 5 here on WB.........you cannot expect us to have a crystal clear understanding of all the fine points of RCC doctrine AND be able to expound on them in a manner that is comprehensive and sufficiently intelligible.

Yes, we are ALL----all of us Christians (you too)---the Body of Christ.

:)

And it should be just a tiny bit obvious that we do not all agree, nor do we all have the same capacity to express our beliefs.

Does that make sense?

And, no, you don't sound like a 3-year old.........12 maybe.

:)

You're making progress.

;)

EX.: If someone here belongs to the Pentecostal Church. I can ask them "what does your Church TEACH?" Or I can ask them, "How do YOU understand that"?

There may or may not be a difference.

So, now. Will you answer my question?

Love ya, buddy,

Fiosh

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
