Forget and Be Silent

Have you been forgiven of your sins? Confess them and forget them. Don't remember them nor talk about them. God doesn't. 

1 John 1:[9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The devil, however, remembers your sins and will bring them up. You can count on it. He is the accuser of the brethren. And he will use your sins and your words against you.

Revelation 12:[10] And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

When it comes to your past, you have the right to remain silent. And you need to do so.

Ephesians 4:[29] Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
[30] And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
[31] Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
[32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Forget your past. It is disrespectful to the sacrifice of Jesus for you to even bring it up unless giving Him glory for delivering you from it.

Matthew 5:[37] But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Matthew 12:[37] For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Don't these statements emphasize the importance of what you say? Consider yourself mirandized in the spiritual court of heavenly places.

“You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you? With these rights in mind, do you wish to speak to me?”

You are created in God's image and His likeness. God speaks and the spirit realm responds. We speak and the spirit world responds. Shalom

Ecclesiastes 5:[6] Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
