there is no such thing called "the church"---thats paganized orthodoxies anti-semitic take on the scriptures...

ecclesia does not mean church...

its a reference the the 'qahal"----the same body Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, David, et al.....

belonged to---the same one you and I belong to.

the word "church" was used to DIVIDE GENTILES FROM JEWS...

RCC/ORTHODOXY---GUILTY AS CHARGED.

the Body is VERY SICK.

Ecclesia means Church.

Before going on long non-sensical rants, I'd suggest knowing what you are talking about first.

stray bullet seems to be a fittin name.

you should aim more often.

ejkklhsiva Ekklesia (ek-klay-see'-ah);

Word Origin: Greek, Noun Feminine, Strong #: 1577

a gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place, an assembly

an assembly of the people convened at the public place of the council for the purpose of deliberating

the assembly of the Israelites

any gathering or throng of men assembled by chance, tumultuously

in a Christian sense

an assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting

a company of Christian, or of those who, hoping for eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, observe their own religious rites, hold their own religious meetings, and manage their own affairs, according to regulations prescribed for the body for order's sake

those who anywhere, in a city, village, constitute such a company and are united into one body

the whole body of Christians scattered throughout the earth

the assembly of faithful Christians already dead and received into heaven

Do you see the word "CHURCH" ANYWHERE THERE?

NOOOOOOO.

the greek word for church is kuriakos....NOT ECCLESIA.

I dont expect your sunday school to EVER teach that truth.

that is, if you are interested in truth.

kuriakos is NOT in ANY ORIGINAL TRANSLATION.

ECCLESIA IS THE SAME WORD FOR CALLED OUT ASSEMBLY OF BELIEVERS IN BOTH TESTAMENTS.

TELL THAT TO YOUR PRIEST.

he might "spank" you, so watch out.

Funny, you aren't even using the right alphabet to spell it. The word means Church.

The word itself is derived from the Latin, "eccl

Jesus didnt speak Latin....

and the greeks called the assembly in the wilderness "ecclesia"---

so---does your church have the word church in the old testament too?

Thought not.

replacement theology.

try another approach.

Your posts seem all over the place and quite insulting.

The word "ecclesia" derives from the Latin word of the same name. As for Jesus not speaking Latin, I'm not sure if most of what He even said in the Gospels was in Greek, but Aramaic. The Gospels we have were recorded in Greek. I believe some early, now gone Gospels, were originally in Aramaic.

None of this really matters, because the word means Church in Greek, just as the word means Church in Latin.
