But since then, I've heard a pretty convincing argument for the ID of the great harlot . . . but due to the nature of things I hesitate to post it. As for the US . . . as I mentioned sometime recently, a relation was made between the US and the False Prophet. All I can say is that if he was on the right track, he was on the wrong train. But it did put an impression on me with how the description of the Beast (labled the False Prophet) "had horns like a lamb but spoke like a dragon" was placed with the picture of an American bison . . . and I though, "Woah!" because it seems a perfect fit! (And of course, it would make sense, if this is what John saw that he wouldn't be able to describe it like he could other things he saw - for he's never seen anything like a bison before, so what could he call it but a "beast"? . . . and a bison sure is a beast.) And of course, that descrption sure does sound like our political climate these days....

I have however felt and thus leaned to understanding it as having the appearance (though it be a facade) meaning for peace, but still speak with the voice (agenda) of the dragon. Again, I also believe it not to be a singular person, but a distinct position. The office held by whoever "exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him" Of late I been thinking of just how radical and extreme the current administration may actually be willing to take this "hope" and "change we can believe in" Like you said Sister Nebula, "That description sure does sound like our political climate these days . . ."
