Sure growing up i was taught to "hate" halloween...but the older i get i dont even see that...i mean yes i understand the roots behind it, and the occultic practices that are still followed to this day....but to the vast majority of people its a chance to dress up and get candy...but i digress. I mean if its a holiday you dont see any point in celebrating...then dont. You single? Or dont do mushy? Dont celebrate valentines. Your dad was a deadbeat who abandoned you as a child? Dont celebrate fathers day. But...hate is such a strong word. It really is. Especially coming from people who are supposed to show love. By the way, we did not have any children (for some reason I don't know), and this grieved so much for many years. I remember comparing myself with other women who had children etc, and I grieved even more. 😔 But I often cried out to Abba Father that He would take the longing away from me, when I finally understood that it wasn't in His plan for me to have children, and He eventually took the deep longing away from me, and filled me instead with His love, peace and joy.
