Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism (LCJE)

A statement from this page is as follows:

Our Hope

As the world prepares to celebrate the year 2000, our hope is that individuals, churches, congregations, denominations and theological institutions will commit themselves to the task of evangelism as we:

tell Jews as well as Gentiles of the reconciling power found only in the Lord Yeshua,

take advantage of the window of witnessing opportunity as ideologies and trends that failed to keep their promises leave people hungry for truth and open to Yeshua,

devote resources to bringing the gospel to Jewish people in underevangelized areas of the world,

pray fervently for the salvation of Jewish people, for the peace of Jerusalem and for the peoples of the Middle East,

joyfully anticipate and work towards the day when all Israel will be saved eagerly await the return of our Messiah.

I would appreciate your thoughts.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

I am all for evangelizing Jews 150%. However the people of this organization come from different theological backrounds of some I don't quite agree with. This sounds like a group of ecumenicals and that scares me.

Shalom Dad Ernie,

For one the Jews for Jesus are a Christian based organization and from reading about them I tend to believe they are out to convert Jews from a Torah observant life style.

The Good News According to Matthew

5:17 Don't think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I didn't come to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the Torah, until all things are accomplished. 19 Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Tell me please, has heaven and earth passed away yet? Have all things been accomplished yet? NO on both counts. So tell me non-Jews(I am one as well) who are Grafted in the Vine, should we Obey YHWH's or Man's Doctrines? YHWH has given us a way to live Seperate from the World and Satan has brought confusion into the Assembly just after the Messiah and His original Apostles and Disciples were gone from the earth. And since the Infant Assembly was without the original parents who SEEN THE MESSIAH, Satan had his chance to really confuse what was taught. Remember when Moses had brought the Israelites out of Egypt by YHWH's power and how soon they forgot HIS WAYS and went their own ways.

The Good News According to Matthew

23:1 Then Yeshua spoke to the multitudes and to his disciples, 2 saying, "The scribes and the Pharisees sat on Moses' seat. 3 All things therefore whatever they tell you to observe, observe and do, but don't do their works; for they say, and don't do.

Even Yeshua says we should do what the Jewish Pharisees and Scribes say and not as they do. And if you remember reading about a wife living with a non-believing husband you can see adventually they can believe as well. Since we would be going to the Synogogue to Worship YHWH. Of course this battle is a great one since all the confusion has been around for 1900 years.

Now on the other hand I see most Christian Churches teach to not observe the Torah and Prophets and I think they need to find the Truth which was lost 1900 years ago when a Pagan Ruler made Christianity the State Religion and set in motion the confusion the world won't soon forget. We are supposed to be Seperate from the world, yet I see more Christians living more like Non-Believers going to Church on Sunday for the benefit of their children instead of trying to Live for YHWH. I should know I was a Christian since I was 15 when I first accepted Him into my life. Do you remember whos world we are living in? Satan's isn't it?

May the peace that transcends all understanding be with you,

Jews for Jesus tends to turn more Jews off about Yeshua than they successfully convert.

They are Christian organization that passes themselves off as Jewish, but I have some misgivings about them.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
