I just recently found out that there's one not far from me.  From what I've seen online and heard about it, it sounds interesting.  There are both Jews and gentiles attending.  I'm wondering about what other gentiles have experienced.

I believe @George does.  Hopefully he will have enough time to reply.  Not sure about other members.

I moved last year so I am not going to one now, but I have attended a couple of them for years. I really like them. But you do have to be careful. There is one type that has off doctrine. Check out the statement of faith for the one you wish to go to. I love the music, love the sense of worship I got from them compared to standard churches.

Thanks.  This particular one doesn't have a statement of faith, at least not on their website.  The Rabbi only has a Bachelor's Degree, but he has written a book titled "Jesus Never Said Anything New".  I'll be going to the Shabbat tomorrow (Saturday), I'll find out more then.
P.S.  What is the "off doctrine" you speak of?

One thing I looked forward to is the shofar call to worship. When I was undergoing extensive medical treatment and couldnt attend worship, my husband would drive me to the parking lot just to hear the shofar.

Man I miss attending one.

One of the things I'm looking for is REVERENCE!  I'm sick of all the "good time rock-n-roll" garbage in a lot of churches.  It's almost a given.

Reverence I saw a lot of in every Messianic congregation I attended.

Look up paul wilbur, ted pearce and their music. It is Messianic. I especially love Blessed are You by paul wilbur and Psalm 23 by ted pearce. Also Hallelu et Adonai by ted pearce.

This online radio station plays a wide variety of Messianic music. They used to have some by the wife of the owner of this site, but I havent seen it there for awhile.

People dance in Messianic congregations. That may take some getting used to, but remember that david danced too in praise of the Lord.

How did it go today?

The rabbi is a board member of Jewish Voice Ministries International which is a good group.

Off doctrine can take many forms.

I was expecting something more like the Orthodox Shabbats I've seen on Youtube, with the shawls and dancing.  The worship of Yeshua was there, but not the traditional customs I was expecting.  Perhaps it varies from one synagogue to the next, just like regular Christian churches.

What a time we are living in. Christians going into synagogues. Hey, why don't we attend mosque! I think that's on a Friday.

A Messianic synagogue/congregation is Christian. They believe in Jesus as Messiah etc. Please understand what it is before you condemn it.
